It has also replaced the use of e-mail service to a bit making itself capable of exchanging instant files and all.

The Starting of the Legend :

Whatsapp Inc. Came into existence in 2009 and the founders were Mr. Jan Koum and Mr. Brian Acton. The idea of creating something this grand arrived in Jan Koum’s mind and he came up with the first version of whatsapp i.e. Whatsapp 2.0 which grabbed him a total of approximately 2,50,000 users for iPhone making it the most used platform of that time. After that Koum thought of making it an app for large scale and that got possible because of Brian Acton. Hee came up with money and stocks that made him a co-owner.

After that they made collaborations with different people and Whatsapp appeared in Blackberry and then the Android Deals making it a very successful and milestone app for the people as well as the company. At the very onset, it was just a messaging platform but after the regular up gradations, Whatsapp became capable of sending photos , that made the user number bang to 200 million active users and making it the fastest growing app of Smartphone for messages and other services.

After that features like audio, video, voice messages as well as the contact info sharing capacity came into existence gaining the app atmost popularity and the users growing more and more popular. Day-by-Day, This service spread like a fire and people had a single motive of shifting from their old phone to a Smartphone and that was Smartphone. As of 22 April 2014, WhatsApp had over 500 million monthly active users, 700 million photos and 100 million videos are shared each day, and the messaging system handles more than 10 billion messages each day.

The Deal by Facebook

After a capturing of $1.5 billion, Facebook finally decided to take over the company Whatsapp Inc. He made a banging deal of about $19 billion (US) which was in forms of money, shares and acquisition. Though the first bite was a little bitter for Facebook as the server’s ups and down made many user shift fromt he app, but now the situation is back in the hands of Whatsapp. People still prefer whatsapp more than any app and because of its benchmark, user convience and trust it has built over the consumer. Whatsapp never stays out of trend.

  2. Hello Prajwal,
Thanks for comment. it was a typo error. Whatsapp was sold for 19 Billion, not 19 million. Mistake is now corrected.
